Officially produced by GoranGrooves, most of the beats supplied with BeatBuddy are non-quantized MIDI recordings of actual drum performances by session drummer Goran Rista. Rock solid, “in-the-pocket” feel ! It comes packed with a selection of over 2000 drum beats and fills arranged in songs in over 20 music styles.
Advanced playback algorithms
Regardless of when you trigger drum fills, they play perfectly in time and finish at the end of a measure. Hi-hats or ride cymbal are automatically omitted when played together with a crash cymbal at beginnings of a beat after a fill, just like a real drummer would do.
“Round-Robin” playback of samples results that no sample is repeated sequentially, therefore eliminating the typical “machine-gun” effect that most drum machines suffer from.

All beats have been arranged into songs which contain a verse, a chorus and drum fills for each section plus fills for intro, outro and transitions between sections. Also included are the source MIDI files, which you can arrange into new songs in order you like using the dedicated BeatBuddy Manager software.
Visual Feedback
BeatBuddy displays vital functions of the pedal and tells you what is going on during performance. It shows song name, genre, time signature, beat or fill currently played, drum set, volume and tempo.
Beat Indicator moves in time with the beat showing you where in a measure you are- perfect for strengthening your rhythm or learning new time signatures.
